The old steel is cut out and new steel is welded in. The tank is then sealed and body work done, the tank is then repainted to look good as new again

We seal a lot of tanks here at EmpireGp, One of the more common problems with older gas tanks is rust, One of the problems we have to deal with is the customer who used either the Cream sealer or the POR sealer and had problems with the sealer failing after a short time or ended up with small parts of the sealer then clogging the fuel filter.
This is an example of a tank sent to us with a failed sealing job. We had to pull the old sealer out and then re-seal the tank using the Phenol Novolac Epoxy this leaves a smooth glass like finish on the inside of your tank and will not break down.
This is an example of the older sealer which has broken down and had to be removed before re-sealing, all of our work comes with a two year waranty
